We know there is someone out there with the call to impact youth and lead a team inspired to develop ministry programmes that create life-changing experiences.
This person will have self-awareness and undertake every challenge with a growth mind-set. They will spearhead the development and execution of our core holiday programmes, Family Camps, Easter Camp, Youth Holiday Camps and Leader Development Camps, with creativity and energy. They will be developing the Springs Internship programme.
If you have worked in a Christian camping organisation before and have experience in leading faith-based youth programmes and large events, then you will appreciate the challenges and opportunities involved. With a team of experienced Coordinators to lead and support, there is much to do. Your powers of persuasion, delegation and organisational skills will be tested. Even with a clear plan, anything can happen. We will come to rely on your calm and grounded approach to problem-solving and health & safety expertise to troubleshoot whatever comes up.
As a lead organiser for some of our major annual events, you will be a clear communicator providing insightful direction and pastoral care to the team and value the input of others. All forms of communications will be a natural strength of your skillset, whether it be as the ‘face' of the event, preparing programme reports or building relationships with our guests, volunteers, and our wider community.
At Tōtara Springs Christian Centre (TSCC), we believe in practically demonstrating the love and compassion of Jesus through providing excellence in everything that we do. Our gifted and motivated team has the privilege of creating unforgettable memories for groups of people all year round.
You will contribute to the crafting of the present and future culture of our amazing organisation and sharing God's love. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire Ministry Development Team at Tōtara Springs, a place where life-changing experiences happen every day.
Tōtara Springs Christian Centre has guests of all ages who travel from afar to enjoy our beautiful setting and outstanding hospitality. A number of our visitors are from schools or come to camps that are funded by OSCAR, and as a result we will require all applicants to have a valid "My Vaccine Pass" before starting.
Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to background checks required under the Children's Act as part of pre-employment screening. As we are a Christian organisation, you must be considerate and comfortable being and working in this environment.
Due to international travel restrictions, applicants must be currently living in New Zealand and be permitted to work in New Zealand.
