Are you ready to create life-changing experiences for tomorrow's leaders?
We know there is someone out there with the call to impact New Zealand youth and has a desire to influence tomorrow's leaders.
Our ideal Kids Programme Coordinator values self-awareness, empathy and accepts every challenge with a growth mind-set. We need a successful events coordinator with creativity and energy to lead the development and execution of our core children's holiday programmes.
If you have worked in a Christian camping organisation before or have experience in leading faith-based youth programmes and large events, you will appreciate the challenges and opportunities involved. As someone who listens, learns and adapts to each situation, you will quickly figure out how to enhance our existing programme format for the benefit of our junior guests.
With a team of energetic youth to lead and support, there is much to do. Your powers of persuasion, delegation and organisation skills will be tested. Even with a clear plan, anything can happen. Your events team will come to rely on your calm and grounded approach to problem-solving and health & safety expertise to troubleshoot whatever comes up.
As a contributor to some of our major annual events such as HMRage and Elevate, you will be a clear communicator with a get stuff done approach to your task list. Successful event management is all about the team. You will be known for your initiative and support when working with others. All forms of communications will be a natural strength of your skillset, whether it be as the ‘face' of the event, preparing programme reports or building relationships with our guests, volunteers, and our wider community.
Our Mission
At Totara Springs Christian Centre (TSCC), we believe in practically demonstrating the love and compassion of Jesus through providing excellence in everything that we do. Our gifted and motivated team has the privilege of creating unforgettable memories for groups of people all year round.
Totara Springs Christian Centre has guests of all ages who travel from afar to enjoy our beautiful setting and outstanding hospitality. A number of our visitors are from schools or come to camps that are funded by OSCAR, and as a result we will require all applicants to have had a valid “My Vaccine Pass” before starting.
Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to background checks required under the Children's Act as part of pre-employment screening.
This role is open to all Christian leaders, supportive of Evangelism, who can be an engaging motivated role-model and coordinator of our ministry programmes with Christian faith and values.
Due to international travel restrictions, applicants must be currently living in New Zealand and be permitted to work in New Zealand.
