Camp Volunteers
Volunteering at camp is an awesome way to grow in your faith, develop your leadership skills and make some great new friends and memories at the same time! We love growing young people at Tōtara Springs. As part of being a volunteer at camp, we invest in you too.
Leadership at camp
Kids Camp LeadersAs a leader, you will lead a cabin of 6-10 kids. Encourage them, share Gods love, get to know them, look out for them and give them the best week of their lives!
Teens Camp LeadersCome lead at Winter teens! If you are 19+ and would like to join with us investing in the lives and spiritual journeys of Teens then this is the place for you!

How To Apply
Application Process
Step 1 (Register/apply):
Each holidays you must register for the camp you wish to lead at. Find the registration links here.
Each registration will require a unique code that you can find with the registration links.
Please be aware that a registration does not automatically give you a place as a leader, we will confirm your application when the vetting process is complete and we are happy with the results.
Step 2 (Refrences):
Email your Written Reference form to the relevant people
Pastoral Reference
Teacher or Employer Refrence
Step 3 (Police Vetting)
Fill in a Police Vet Form and
Get a copy of your passport/driver license and birth certificate signed (by either a school staff member or pastor)
Email both these forms to: leaders@totarasprings.org.nz
Next Steps
Once paperwork has been received and processed you will receive an email regarding whether your application has been accepted or not. We will also send you relevant information needed regarding any required training and camp information.
FAQ's
How old do I need to be to apply?
Kids camp leader: 16 years and over.
Leaders in Training: 14 years and over.
Teens camp leader: 19 years and older
When do I need to apply by?
Due to our vetting process all applications must be made no later than 4 weeks out from camp, this includes all paperwork and police vetting if necessary.

Pastoral Care Our Pastoral Care Team are there to provide support, mentoring and encouragement to leaders throughout the week. You'll have top leadership skills, initiative and a passion for camping while volunteering as a leader. This role is by invite only, but we welcome expressions of interest too.
